Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have a passion to help others going through life's challenges.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time with my son and family, arts and crafts, yoga, reading mystery novels, kickboxing, and traveling to new places!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I do daily mindfulness meditation.

What book have you read more than once?

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. I enjoy reading mysteries and actively critically thinking which this book indulges.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

American Heart Association. I have Basic Life Support (BLS) training via the AHA and continue this certification every 2 years as unfortunately my father died suddenly of a massive heart attack when he was 64 years old and was otherwise healthy. This cause is near and dear to me, plus heart disease is the leading cause of death in Americans so I encourage others to get annual screenings and consider learning BLS training. It just might save your life or the life of someone you care about.

How do you recharge?

Spending time outside, playing with my son, yoga, and laughing at good jokes.
