Many of our patterns and habits are shaped by how we grew up so when we take a deeper look at this, we can understand why we are the way we are.

My Therapy Style

I have always been fascinated with how our family system shapes us. So as your therapist, I will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy mixed with your family history (i.e. who raised you, what it was like growing up, etc.) to help you understand how and why you show up the way you do with yourself and in your relationships. Many of our patterns and habits are shaped by how we grew up so when we take a deeper look at this, we can understand why we are the way we are. When clients are not interested in using their family system as a window into what is happening, that's okay, I just adjust my style as your therapist accordingly to meet your needs!

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Ever since I was little, I've been interested in how the mind works, what drives people to behave the way they do, and how we relate to one another. Becoming a therapist was the best decision I ever made! I thoroughly enjoy taking people through the therapeutic process one step at a time.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, listening to music, dancing, exploring nature, hiking, watching sunsets, embracing spirituality, doing yoga, and enjoying self-care like the spa!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I love hot yoga as it helps me get grounded, remember to breathe, and supports mind-body connection!

What book have you read more than once?

Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. It teaches us how to slow down, become present, and take breaks from the technological world.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

There is an organization that allows a person who passes away to be buried and turned into a tree as fertilizer, then loved ones can visit you after you pass by spending time under your beautiful tree. I just love the idea of this.

How do you recharge?

Walks in nature, yoga, therapy for myself, lots of spa days (Korean spa days to be specific), sunsets, and the beach.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, one dog! He's the best. I love how he always comes to my baby when she is crying, it's as if he knows she needs some comfort.
