Therapy Style

I hope to create a warm, casual space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, develop deeper insights, and discover new, healthy ways of being.

My therapy style is warm, engaging, and collaborative and I believe that authentic and supportive relationships are key to healing. My philosophy is to seek to understand the whole person with genuine interest, care, and compassion. I use a tailored approach to help you reach your goals, typically combining several modalities including Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Providing client-centered and trauma-informed care that is culturally sensitive, strength-based, and rooted in compassion is at the heart of my work.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I love to build deep connections and relations with others and always have. I have had many experiences that have shaped the person I am today (as we all do), and I have learned the value of having a support person in your life to help you get to the other side of pain. I believe we can be healed by a relationship and I consider it a true gift to have a career that enables me to bear witness to the life stories of others while offering support and compassion.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy keeping my grandmother’s recipes alive in the kitchen, engaging in photography, and traveling with my family whenever I get the chance. I also love reading and writing and published my first social-emotional learning children’s book at the start of 2023.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I feel it’s important to practice what I preach and aim to exercise gratitude, mindfulness, and thought challenging daily.

How do you recharge?

My happy place is anywhere near the water and doing anything outdoors. I have a beautiful park nearby that I try to walk at every day with my family. Movement and sunshine are my top ways to recharge.

Do you have any pets?

I have a Goldendoodle named Finnegan who we consider to be our first child! I have always grown up with dogs and have a deep love for animals.
