Therapy can be intimidating and scary. My goal is to create an authentic, safe, calm, fun, and comforting environment where clients can develop tools to navigate obstacles and stressors. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-based Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, we will focus on your overall well-being and work towards creating a happy, healthier you. I specialize in working with BIPOC facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, family conflict, relationship issues, stress, difficulties with work, and chronic illness.

I decided to explore the field of mental health after experiencing a family crisis while in college. For the first time in my life, I had to seek professional help from a therapist to help me cope with the crisis. It was challenging to find a therapist who could relate to me culturally and ethnically. I did not find therapy to be beneficial and it was more traumatizing. My goal was to become a culturally informed therapist so that others would not have to have a similar experience.
Outside of work, I enjoy pilates and hot yoga. I love to laugh and watch a lot of reality TV.
Every morning I write my thoughts and concerns in my journal and use a prompt to help set the intentions for the day.
I reserve time for vacation. During most of my vacations I like to disconnect from everyday life by relaxing by a pool or ocean with a good mystery novel.
