My Therapy Style

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with a License in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’ve been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and overall take a person-centered approach based on my client's goals.

I’ve spent the past six years working in the community, school-based, and virtual mental health with individuals, families, and children who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, emotional expression, regulation, career challenges, life transitions, and communication. With my compassionate and proactive therapeutic approach, I will collaboratively create a treatment plan that will focus on enhancing the areas of your life you wish to work on and achieve your desired goals.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Childhood experiences with family suffering from mental health issues.

What are your interests outside of work?

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, working out, yoga, mindfulness, quality time with family, and enjoy eating a wide range of cultural foods. Our food and culture speaks to who we are and makes life worth living.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I connect and engage with my support system.

What book have you read more than once?

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. I've read it and listened to it more than once for various reasons. Deepak's words bring me peace; he provides a practical way of applying spiritual practices that will bring you personal fulfillment, mental calmness, and success if you apply his teachings.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Rainbow Services provides shelter and support to anyone impacted by domestic violence, empowering them to move beyond trauma, towards safety and stability.

How do you recharge?

With physical movement — Hiking, dancing, working out, and yoga.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have Milo, a Black Labrador.
