My Therapy Style

I offer a holistic style of therapy that centers around how your body, mind, culture, and environment, integrate to create your existence as a whole. I tailor treatment to the person and their individual needs and experiences. No one person is the same as another and therapy cannot exist in a cookie-cutter world. I use evidence-based interventions and 20 years of professional knowledge to make sure that my clients can experience therapy in a safe, nonjudgmental, and compassionate space.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I never remember a time that I wanted to do anything other than be a therapist. I love helping others and making people feel hope in their lives. Being able to do this job in a virtual space where I can meet people from all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences and connect with them is more than I could have ever hoped for.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time with my husband, children, and grandson. I am a voracious reader and love escaping in and learning from books equally. I am a movie buff and love movie trivia even more. I am all about all things 80's!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I take time each night to put away devices and get lost in a book.

What book have you read more than once?

The Five Languages of Love and Atomic Habits.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

The Trevor Project, all people deserve to live a life where they can be authentically themselves. The Trevor Project works to make this happen and provide hope that living is the best option.

How do you recharge?

I carve out time to spend with my husband each night to talk about our day and any other things we need to discuss about schedules, etc. This allows us to connect and process our days at the same time.

Do you have any pets?

Yes 3 dogs (a 6lb. Malshi, a 50lb. Pit/Lab mix and a 100lb. German Shepherd) and 2 cats, I have too many stories to choose one but it is probably how our GSD got his name. My middle child's name is Koda and we named him Kenai from the movie Brother Bear. All of our pets have their own distinct personalities and behaviors. My kids say that they have resigned themselves to the fact that my Malshi, Ozzie, is my favorite child, they are right!
