During my 18-year career, I have refined my skills and then appropriately adjusted them to the client I am working with. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused and Strength-based techniques are my primary foundation. However, primarily working with clients that have endured significant levels of acute, chronic and complex trauma, flexibility in any session is the most important skill.

My career in mental health happened as a second career in my early 40's. I am sure that there is not any one reason why I chose social work, but I feel privileged every day with every person that trusts me to work with them.
I enjoy spending time with my friends hiking, exploring estate sales and flea markets, exploring old churches and architecture with my husband. I especially love spending time with my three sisters and our adult children doing absolutely nothing together.
I always give myself permission to take a break, have fun, feel my feelings and spend every day learning more about me and the world I live in.
NSPO – they support DV survivors and work towards change.
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network – Many resources and information about trauma informed care that can be applied with so many of my clients.
I have a Rat Terrier, Murphy. She is high energy, When we started looking to adopt, we thought we planned on adopting a dog that was mild and chill, we fell in love with her and we were good with the adoption story not ending the way we had planned.
