My Therapy Style

I work to tailor my experience and expertise to each client's unique challenges. I have a vast background in trauma and dissociation, as well supporting people through big life changes. I want to work with you to figure out how you work, why you're dealing with these challenges, and how we can help you to live the most fulfilling version of your life possible. I find so much strength and hope in understanding, so I love sharing the ways our bodies and brains work to help find compassion and care for ourselves and our success in surviving even when everything seems awful.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have seen a lot of suffering in my life and when I started undergrad in Chemistry (of all things) I realized that while I didn't care in which direction an electron spins, I was SO curious about why the people around me (and myself) did the things we did. As I shifted my focus and learned more I realized that I wanted to be a support for those trying to move away from their suffering and toward hope and fulfillment, and I found so much hope and empowerment in community and grassroots efforts- I truly believe that my purpose is to support and connect with anyone who could benefit from my gifts.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love to make things! I am a big knitter and love to crochet, cross stitch, embroider, paint, carve, build, you name it I probably have at least a basic knowledge of it. I also love nerdy things like D&D, reading, fantasy movies, and herbalism- I am excited to have a garden of my own soon!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I work hard to make my mornings peaceful as much as possible- a few minutes with my dog, a project or book, a nice little coffee, and (when possible) some sunshine and nice weather! I also love to do yoga and get my body moving.

What book have you read more than once?

I grew up as a Harry Potter kid and it seems unlikely I will ever read another book/series more than I read that one. Unfortunately, transphobia gets in the way nowadays, but when I think of the companionship and creativity I explored with those characters as I became who I am today, nothing compares.

How do you recharge?

Any time I can make it to the mountains and sit among the trees I can feel my soul recharging. I also love chatting with friends and exploring the hypotheticals our world has to offer over a fancy little coffee or snack.
