Why did you become a mental health professional?

To fulfill my calling to help comfort and heal those in need.

What are your interests outside of work?

Faith, family, sports (biking, hiking, fishing, tennis), cooking, reading, and traveling.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I pray, study scripture, practice self-care.

What book have you read more than once?

The Bible because it's the source of eternal truth, strength, hope, and inspiration for healthy living.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Habitat for Humanity because they "teach a man to fish" by training homebuyers in the construction and maintenance of their future homes, and creating equity in homeownership and opportunities for marginalized families to improve their financial and living circumstances.

How do you recharge?

I hug a loved one, take a relaxing bath or a power-nap, exercise, have a good laugh or cry, and practice thankfulness and gratitude.

Do you have any pets?

Teddy, a malti-poo mix. He looked like a teddy bear when we got him but has grown into a hairy Muppet.
