Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have been drawn to the mind-body connection my entire life, culminating in my dedication to continued training to best serve people who might like relief from his or her burdens.

What are your interests outside of work?

My horses, dogs, reading, cooking, talking with a small but meaningful circle of friends, learning about depth, contemplative religion.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Take a 20 minute nap.

What book have you read more than once?

The Big Book, AA.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

I film heroes. They document and care for homeless peoples dogs.

Do you have any pets?

I have three horses and tow dogs. I could give the "story of the week" on any give day since animals are without concern of what others think. I'd say my favorite story is how quickly they all became fast friends with a pot belly pig that we inherited. The dogs would box and romp with the pig, the horses would wait for the pig to Jon in before they munched down their own meals. Without hierarchy or demand, they all quickly found their places to have fun and to take care of each other.
