My Therapy Style

I am a very experienced and highly skilled psychotherapist. I utilize all evidenced-based treatment models that are tailored to your needs and preferences. I believe that anxiety is a human experience. Anxiety is an experience that keeps us stuck in negative thoughts and a physical state of discomfort. I will help you get unstuck and move beyond your fight, and flight, freeze your response as you learn acceptance, self-compassion, and meaningfulness, and intentionally create a new reality with more ease, flow, and abundance.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I believe deeply in a person's ability to feel self-worth, develop insight, face fears, create positive change, believe in our dreams, and live life with a sense of satisfaction and spontaneous joy.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love playing tennis, traveling, and learning. Similar to work, I care about and intensely interested in every person I meet and every situation I am experiencing.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One thing that I do daily is to remember the importance of carving out time to do something that just makes me smile.

What book have you read more than once?

The Power of One is a book I've read many times. The themes of resilience, perseverance, and determination deeply resonate, both personally and professionally.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

The Public Library. There are many organizations that are worthy of support and admiration. However, it is the "ordinary" public library that provides access to quiet space, for learning, for experiencing, and human connection for every age group throughout our lives.

How do you recharge?

I replenish my energy and find balance each day by spending time outdoors with my dog, family, friends, or alone. In particular, watching the colors of the sunset each night has been a lifetime activity that provides a feeling of exhilaration and a respect for individuality and the grandeur of the universe.

Do you have any pets?

I have a 12 year old Cavalier King Charles. And, I suspect like many others, we have taken far more pictures of him over the years than we have of anyone else in the family!
