Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
If you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, hopeless, or stuck, it is my passion and interest to help you work through this. Often we find ourselves going through the motions of our day but feeling like things will never change; this is no way to live. When we work together in your therapy, we will identify what behaviors and ways of thinking are getting in your way. We will identify your goals, your values, and your "why" for prioritizing yourself and getting the help you deserve. By looking at our learned ways of coping that have become unhelpful, we can take the next step of building more effective coping skills.
My specialty is DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), which focuses on building skills that help you manage intense emotions, get out of self-destructive patterns, and work on important relationships in your life. Additionally, I use CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) in the treatment of trauma in a contained and safe way.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my dogs, and staying active.
One of my favorite books that I have read more than once is Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. I love learning about how to lead with a wholehearted and vulnerable approach.
I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs named Hunter and Olly. They are the best dogs in the world! My favorite story of their misadventures was the time they helped each other pull down our 8 ft Christmas tree, and it was all caught on doggy cam!
