Therapy Style

My career as a Marriage and Family Therapist is constantly evolving as science and technology continue to transform the behavioral health field.

My extensive background includes providing individual, family and group counseling to a culturally diverse population across the Southern California region since 2004, including 10 years with Riverside University Healthcare Systems in the desert region. From 2016 to 2021, I worked extensively with chronic, high-acuity patients as a Kaiser Permanente team member, providing clinical assessment, treatment planning and outside referrals, clinical care management, and group psychotherapy. And for the past year, I have worked as a contracted telehealth clinician providing adult individual and couples counseling sessions to patients via online video platforms.

My approach to therapy is eclectic in nature. First and foremost, I endeavor to deliver client-centered treatment, utilizing a variety of modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and solution-focused interventions to address issues such as mood disorders, recovery from addictive behaviors, traumatic events, grief/loss and other phase-of-life challenges which may arise. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey!

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy the arts (theater, film, fine arts) and nature, travel, hiking, biking, pets, and spending time with my family.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I find time to practice gratitude by acknowledging the gifts brought to me on a daily basis.

What book have you read more than once?

I always return to The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I find when I put these concepts into practice, my outlook always improves and my relationships thrive and feel more connecting.

How do you recharge?

I really enjoy traveling, whether it's a simple day-trip, a weekend getaway, or a more exotic destination. I also really enjoy dining out – I'm a bit of a "foodie!"

Do you have any pets?

I come from a family of dog lovers and currently have two fur-babies. About 7 years ago, there was a pretty hefty winter storm which allowed my dogs to experience snow for the first time and their reactions were mixed with curiosity and excitement!
