Therapy Style

I prefer to be flexible in my therapeutic approach because different circumstances bring individuals to therapy. Whether it's depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship/family conflict, grief, or poor self-esteem; we can work together to recognize what is the best intervention for you. For example, exploring how the past has impacted your present circumstance, negative thinking, or needing guidance in finding a solution to your problem. I provide a safe space and individualized intervention strategies for clients to be able to explore, process, cope and heal from life challenges.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Based on past personal experiences the mental health field helped me recognize I am not a prisoner of the past and trauma doesn't define me. The therapeutic process provides a safe space to help individuals process feelings, learn and develop new skills to overcome life obstacles and transform challenges into power and purpose.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy hiking, running, and cooking.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I exercise on a daily basis.

What book have you read more than once?

Peace From Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You're Going Through by Iyanla Vanzant. It helped me understand trauma and how to heal from it.

How do you recharge?

I try to get 8 hours of sleep and exercise.
