Therapy Style

I've worked as a therapist, mostly in school-based and nonprofit settings, for 13 years, providing mental health support to students, parents, and school-based staff. My approach to therapy is eclectic, using different modalities that are tailored to each client's needs. These have included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy in service to clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health diagnoses.

I take a client-centered, strengths-based approach through which we can work collaboratively to help you reach your mental health goals. I think everyone doing therapy is extremely brave, and it's an honor to be entrusted to support you on your journey.

I like to make sure I get the chance to laugh every day.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by either reading or working out at the gym.

Do you have any pets?

I have a dog named Lucy who I got as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica. A neighbor's dog had puppies that she was unable to care for, so Lucy was very young when I got her. She fit in the palm of my hand.
