My Therapy Style

I work from a client-centered and humanistic approach, which allows me to personalize the treatment to suit each individual; implementing and utilizing approaches that are best suited for and tailored to meet their needs rather than a specific therapeutic modality. I work from a Strengths-based orientation, utilizing past and current skills as well as gaining new ones to assist the client in overcoming life challenges and improving their quality of life or achieving their goals. I work with clients who have diagnoses across the board ranging from substance use, ADHD, autism, to schizophrenia.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to engage in meaningful work that can make a positive impact on not only individuals but the communities in which they reside.

What are your interests outside of work?

My interests outside of work include party planning, baking, and traveling.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I exercise daily and meditate.

What book have you read more than once?

All the Light We Cannot See. I really thought that this was beautifully written book, that is not only imaginative but creative. It really pulled me in. I have read it more than once due to being in a book club and making the recommendation to read again.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organization is NAMI. The reason for this is that they have a significant impact on mental health treatment and policies that impact state and local governments. They also are an amazing resource for families and are advocates for more supportive services.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking time for myself, spending it with my animals, or friends.
