I would describe my therapeutic approach as empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative. It is important that you feel seen, heard, understood, and empowered. I believe that fostering a safe and secure therapeutic relationship is crucial in the therapeutic process. I also believe in meeting you where you are at in life and empowering you to discover insights and skills that work best for you. I draw from many therapeutic approaches depending on what fits your needs and your struggles at the time. I firmly believe that you have the innate wisdom and ability to help you arrive at healing.
MA - Biblical Counseling, Dallas Theological Seminary
I am interested in helping people become mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy so that they can live calm, full, and meaningful lives. I have also benefitted from counseling myself.
I enjoy gardening, movies, fine arts, opera, live music, hiking, cycling, nature, and spending time with friend and family.
I have read The Bible more than once because I did my Master's degree at seminary and that involved a lot of Bible reading and study.
Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. I am an active member of this organization because it supports my specialty in my full-time career as a registered dietitian and diabetes care and education specialist.
I have 2 cats, Shadow and Olive. Both are adopt-a-kitties. Shadow fetches like a dog!
