Showing up for therapy takes courage and vulnerability. I take a Strengths-Based, collaborative, and culturally-humble approach to my therapeutic process. Together we will uncover your innate resilience and resolve. We will establish realistic goals and an individualized road map to reach them. I am committed to taking a holistic view of the human person; a perspective that includes one’s environment, influencing systems, culture, values, history, and beliefs. Empowering each individual that seeks therapy is my goal and you can expect a warm and empathic therapeutic style as we take this journey together. I have a passion for accompanying others as they discover those tools that help them to live as their whole, authentic selves.
I have extensive experience working with individuals and families in a wide array of settings; from community-based settings to hospitals, and outpatient clinics. As your partnering therapist, I commit to being in your corner, offering a variety of methodologies to choose from including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

The answer is different now over 10 years into practice than it was when I first entered graduate school. I absolutely love to travel and learn about other cultures. I enjoy reading, the outdoors, and spirituality.
Intentionally put down my cell phone and keep it on silent!
Aleph by Paulo Coelho. It has adventure, travel, and ultimately is a story about one man's pilgrimage of renewal and re-connection.
I find Homeboy Industries to be a beacon of hope and resilience. Their focus on community, inclusion, and belonging as the ultimate drivers of transformation often reminds me of the importance of having a foundation of respect, love, and mutuality in any kind of relationship.
I recharge by taking a hike, being out in nature, reading a good book, or listening to live music.
I have a small mutt named Daphne, she was a "last day dog" and we were told she was "unadoptable" by the shelter staff. This last day dog has had many adventures since entering our family, and while everyday things make her nervous she'll gladly jump into the ocean and onto huge boulders and hang with dogs 10x her size!
